Jen and John Tangney are the proud owners and hosts of Kingswood Motel in Waimate, South Canterbury. Kingswood Motel offers 12 different units of various sizes to accommodate your needs. We are centrally located in the middle of the Waimate Township, only 5 minutes' walk to the local shopping amenities. Waimate is located approximately half way up the South Islands east coast just a few minutes off state highway one making it the perfect location for a quiet and peaceful place to stay on your travels. Cancellation policy: Cancellation more than 48hrs prior to 2pm on the day of check in is free. Cancellation within 48hrs will incur the first night's charge. In the case of a no-show, the full reservation price will be charged.

PRICING
All prices are current until end of March 2024.
Amenities: All units feature free unlimited wifi, 50 + SKY channels, and comfortable beds with electric blankets and woolen underlay on all queen beds. We have gas heated high pressure showers, and heaters in all rooms. Complimentary Moccona coffee, Dilmah tea, hot chocolate, milk, and sugar. All units also have an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, extra pillows and blankets, jug, toaster, fridge, microwave, cutlery, dinner sets, table and chairs. Units 1-7 and 10-12 feature a cooktop, pots, and electric frying pan. Units 7 also has an oven. Other amenities differ unit to unit and are listed below.

FAMILY UNITS
Unit 4 features two separate bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two single beds, plus a sofa bed in the lounge.
Unit 5 features one separate bedroom with 3 king single beds. There is a double bed to the side of the lounge with a pull across curtain for privacy as well as a sofa bed.
Unit 6 features two queen beds in separate rooms and a sofa bed in the lounge.
Unit 7 is our luxury family unit. It features a full kitchen with an oven and stove top, a large lounge with a leather lounge suite, and spa bath. There are two separate bedrooms with a queen bed in one, up to three single beds in the other, plus a fourth single in the lounge.
Prices for our family units start at $220 per night.

ENSUITE UNITS
We have one ensuite unit upstairs (unit 9) that is accessed through the office (24hr access). This unit has a small balcony to enjoy your morning coffee on. We also have another ensuite unit downstairs (unit 8).
Both units feature a queen bed, shower, toilet, fridge, microwave, small dining table and kitchenette.
Prices for our ensuite units start at $140 per night.​

STUDIO UNITS
We have 6 studio units available. Our accessible unit (unit 10) has wheel chair access and accessible shower. This unit's bedding arrangement is one queen bed and one single bed. The remaining five units have one queen bed only. Amenities include shower, toilet, and a full kitchen with stove top but no oven.
Prices for our studio units start at $170 per night.​
